We are pleased to announce our partnership with innovative power solution provider, PowerOak. At Angaza, we are committed to streamlining the distribution of life-changing products to underserved communities in last-mile markets. Our alignment with PowerOak, which specializes in manufacturing affordable solar home systems designed specifically for off-grid living, will help us further our mission to expand access to transformative technology in even the most remote locations around the globe.
“PowerOak is highly regarded for its reliable and affordable energy solutions,” said Lesley Marincola, Angaza’s CEO. “We are excited to partner closely with PowerOak and provide distributors in emerging markets with the opportunity to access two new Bluetti by PowerOak solar home systems that are enabled with the Angaza platform.”
The Bluetti by PowerOak E-Series solar home systems are available with 6W, 12W, and 18W PV panel options and provide sufficient energy to light 3-6 rooms. Capable of charging cell phones, DC hair clippers and radios, the E-Series is well-suited to meet entry level electricity needs of small off-grid homes.
The Bluetti by PowerOak P-Series solar home systems are available with 55W, 75W, 110W, and 160W PV panel options and provide sufficient energy to light 4-10 rooms. Capable of charging cell phones and powering DC appliances such as TVs, fans, refrigerators, sewing machines, sound amplifiers, TV decoders, and wireless routers, the P-Series is optimized to meet the more advanced electricity needs of larger off-grid homes.
The Bluetti E-Series and Bluetti P-Series solar home systems are compatible with the Angaza platform and designed to provide an optimal pay-as-you-go (PAYG) experience. Each system is able to easily communicate with external devices via USB port, and its flexible cable system enables simple adaptation to even the most complex installation environments.
“PowerOak’s mission is to provide ordinary homes all over the world with the ability to easily access clean and renewable energy,” said Wondar Liu, Founder & CEO at PowerOak. “We are excited to join forces with Angaza, whose reputation for removing barriers to access of affordable energy products will help PowerOak reach more consumers in remote regions with high-quality power solutions.”
According to the GOGLA off-grid solar market report (H2 2020), the off-grid industry is showing early signs of a slow but uneven recovery from the economic shock triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Off-grid solar lighting sales grew by 19 percent between July and December 2020 compared to the first half of the year, totaling 3.6 million products sold. Solutions like Angaza, which are designed to streamline distribution of affordable solar energy products, alongside investors and stakeholders in the off-grid solar community, are poised to support the industry as it continues to recover from unprecedented economic challenges.
